Is the Flyboard like the Jet Pack thing?
The Flyboard is a little similar to the Jet Lev because it uses a water jet supplied to the unit by a large diameter power hose for propulsion. Instead of a back pack type power pack like the Jet Lev, the Flyboard utilizes a board that you stand on, similar to a wakeboard. The board has the water jet nozzles coming out the bottom as if they are coming out from under your feet. The Flyboard also has a thrust nozzle that attaches to each wrist for ultimate stabilization and maneuverability. The Flyboard literally blows away the competition!!!! There is nothing else like it!!!!

Where do you start using the FlyBoard, off shore, shallow, or land?
It depends on your area and the resources you have at hand. You can start off from a dock while you put on the FlyBoard, then slide into the water to start off, you can put it on in shallow water and idle out to deeper water, or start off in deep water from a larger boat.
Do I have to have the Electronic Management Kit?
Yes, you have to have the Electronic Management Kit. The FlyBoards are no longer sold with out the Electronic Management Kit. The main reason for the necessity of the Electronic Management Kit is so that you have a kill switch on the FlyBoard. If you do not have the Electronic Management Kit you must use two people, one on the jet ski and one on the FlyBoard. The person on the jet ski would have to operate the throttle while the other rides the FlyBoard. With the Electronic Management Kit, the person riding the FlyBoard can operate the throttle without the help of a second person. The second person should still be on the jet ski for safety. The Electronic Management Kit can be turned on and off so beginners can learn without having to think about the throttle. Once the FlyBoarder learns to fly, he or she will have much better control and stability if he or she has the throttle.

Yes, the jet ski stays with the FlyBoard because it is attached to the FlyBoard with a 30 foot power hose.
